COVID-19 Guidelines for Home Games

These guidelines are subject to change without notice.

  1. Volleyball Items
    1. Up to 76 fans will be allowed in the White Sulphur Springs gym during volleyball matches.
    2. Fans will only be allowed to occupy the east bleachers.
    3. The west bleachers will be reserved for teams and game personnel.
    4. Local fans will be allowed if they have a ticket. Each uniformed WSS player will be given 2 tickets for fans of their choosing.
    5. The visiting team will receive 20 tickets. Each fan must present a ticket at the door to gain entry.
    6. Activity tickets will only be available to students. However, In order to gain entry to the contest, they still need to be in the first 13 student body fans to arrive or they will be turned away.
    7. All fans in attendance will be required to wear a mask and distance to the extent practical.
    8. No food or drink will be allowed in the gym and bleachers
    9. As MHSA requires schools to have administration at each contest, visiting teams are required to identify game administration that will be in attendance, the Tuesday before the contest.
    10. Volleyball players will need to wear masks when not currently in the game.
    11. Coaches will be required to wear a mask throughout the contest per MHSA directive.
    12. There will be designated area in the bleachers for non-participating players (JV during Varsity or Varsity during JV)
    13. White Sulphur Springs will not provide towels, though athletes may shower after their contest. Shower and locker room facilities will be available for visiting teams; however, visiting coaches will be responsible for their own COVID-19 locker room safety protocols.
    14. Athletes should bring their own water bottles. Drinking fountains have been disabled, but we do have some water bottle filling stations available.
    15. White Sulphur Springs will follow all pregame guidelines as prescribed by the MHSA.
    16. There will be a rotation of 4 game volleyballs during the match. As game balls enter the bleachers or otherwise need to be sanitized, and rotated out, a newly sanitized ball will rotate in.
    17. No concessions will be offered at this time. Spectators will not be allowed to eat in the gym or bleachers.
    18. Spectators must sign in at the ticket gate.
    19. Temperature checks will be done at the south doors. Anyone with a temperature of over 100 degrees will not gain entrance.
    20. All attendees (spectators, participants, and workers) must use the South doors for both entrance and egress.
    21. Port-a-potties will be available outside the South doors.
    22. If policies are not followed, you will be asked to leave or escorted off the premises.
  1. Football
    1. There will be a limit of 250 fans allowed.
    2. Parking with a view of the football field is available on the east and south sides of the field on a first come first served basis.
    3. Any fans watching the game from outside their own vehicle must be socially distanced and wear a face covering at all times.
    4. Visiting teams will be required to film the game from their own sideline, not from the booth or the west bleachers.
    5. Football players will be required to wear a mask when not currently in the game. Coaches will be required to wear masks throughout the game, per MHSA directive.
    6. White Sulphur Springs will not provide towels, though athletes may shower after their contest. Shower and locker room facilities will be available for visiting teams; however, visiting coaches will be responsible for their own COVID-19 locker room safety protocols.
    7. Athletes should bring their own water bottles. Drinking fountains have been disabled, but we do have some water bottle filling stations available.  You will not be able to fill bigger 5 or 10 gallon water coolers.  If you would like to use those you will need to bring your own water.
    8. White Sulphur Springs Schools will follow all pregame guidelines as prescribed by the MHSA.
    9. Please bring at least 2 game balls so the ball boy can keep at least one game ball sanitized at all times.
    10. No concessions will be offered at this time.
    11. Port-a-potties will be available.
    12. We encourage fans to social distance and/or sit in family pods
    13. We encourage fans to stay on the visiting side of the field.
    14. If policies are not followed, you will be asked to leave or escorted off the premises.
